Club Meetings

The next PRC Committee meeting will be held on Thursday 10th of December 2009 at 7.30pm, Level 1 Members' Room, Clubhouse, 160 The Esplanade

Current and Past members are welcome to attend the meetings to assist, support, and share ideas with the club.

Sponsorship

The Petone Rowing Club Inc thanks the Pelorus Trust for a grant of $40,000.00 towards building repairs painting costs maintenance.

The Petone Rowing Club Inc thanks the NZCT (New Zealand Community Trust) for a grant of $19,000.00 towards a Women’s Four.

The Petone Rowing Club Inc thanks Pub Charity for a grant of $5,000.00 towards a rowing boat.


 

Club Notice Board

Ken White passed away this morning. He had previously had a stroke & a heart attack, & was in Wgtn Hospital for a short while. He was sent back to the Rest Home, for the remaining care. Funeral probably Friday 23rd Oct, but this is to be confirmed. It is being organised by the Titahi Bay R.S.A. Can this message be sent on through your network.Ken's Funeral will be held at 2pm on Thursday, at the Ninness Funeral Home, 17 Kenepuru Drive, Porirua Ph :- 04237-4174.

Petone Members amazing awards: At last weeks New Zealand Rowing Awards Camilla Andersen won the Most Promising Rower of the Year, Greg Stothers won Rowing Coach of the Year Award, and David Pullar won Adminstrator of the year. The Petone Rowing Club (PRC) is located on the Petone foreshore, in the harbor of Wellington, New Zealand.  Formed in the year 1900, the Club has a long standing history of developing champion rowers, with a proud history filled with local, regional, national, international, and Olympic achievements.

The PRC attend local regattas at other rowing clubs on a regular basis across New Zealand, and attend the New Zealand National Championships annually. Additionally the PRC is proud of our Masters Crews, who regularly row locally and internationally with great success.

Dedicated to teaching young and old to scull and row both socially and competitively, the PRC is committed to developing club members to achieve their personal best in the sport of rowing at an individual and team level. The club has focus on developing School, Adult, and Masters members.
